The Winter Games is on across three different mountains in Queenstown

One of the many Kiwis taking part is Mikayla Smyth - she skis in the slalom and the grand slalom.

She explained to D'Arcy Waldegrave on Sportstalk what the difference is between the two events (and also kindly pointed out that everyone actually just calls grand slalom GS).

Mikayla Smyth: GS skier ahead of the Winter Games

Earlier today the location for the 2027 GODZONE adventure race was announced.

It will be held at Aoraki/Mount Cook and the wider Mackenzie district next March.

Rob Nichol is a trustee for GODZONE and he joined D'Arcy to discuss.

Earlier today, a piece was published by the NZ Herald detailing the relationship between Ardie Savea and NZ Rugby over the past couple of years, from contract discussions to relationships within the team and the coaching staff.

Gregor Paul, a rugby writer with the Herald, wrote the piece and he joined D'Arcy to break it down.

The White Ferns fell agonisingly short in their first ODI against South Africa on Sunday, the visitors needed a six of the final ball to win and they got just that.

They now are faced with a second ODI against the South Africans tomorrow at the Basin Reserve to keep their chances of winning the series alive. 

Maddy Green top scored for the White Ferns in the first match, and she joined D'Arcy to discuss.
