It was recently announced that Black Ferns legend Kelly Brazier would be hanging up the boots to end her 18-year career.

Brazier spent time in both the sevens circuit and playing for the 15s side - with two Rugby World Cup titles and an Olympic gold medal as some career high points.

There is two New Zealand derby's to open the competition this weekend. The Crusaders are heading under the roof to take on the Highlanders on Friday night followed by another massive clash between the Blues and the Chiefs.
