The NRL's expansion into Christchurch as the 20th side has ignited once again with Australian rugby league journalist Dean Ritchie saying 'the time is right for rugby league to hijack Christchurch and mercilessly bury a teetering NZ Rugby union'.
D'Arcy was joined by Justin Leydesdorff, the board chair of NZRL, to see what they are doing to progress the bid and whether a NRL side in Christchurch could work.
