The America's Cup protocol has changed drastically ahead of the 38th instalment in Naples in 2027.

These changes include the establishment of the Americas Cup Partnership, reducing the crew from 8-5 people one of which must be a woman as well as seeing the return of guest racers, batteries replacing manual power and the introduction of a cost cap.

Sailing analyst Chris Steele caught up with D'Arcy Waldegrave to discuss the changes and what it means going forward for sailing's biggest race.

Whitney Hansen, daughter of former All Blacks coach Sir Steve Hansen, was named as the new Black Ferns head coach. 

In her first year she will oversee 11 tests and a historic British & Irish Lions Series in 2027.

"She knows what she wants to do and when she wants to do it and, you know, I think it's important that your kids make their own decisions about where they want to go and what they want to do," Sir Steve Hansen told D'Arcy Waldegrave.

Drama and a technical issue in the Ashes yesterday, with Alex Carey scoring a welcomed century as Australia ended the day at 326-8, but he should've been out when he was on 72.

England used a review on a caught behind as they thought they heard a sound - the microphones on the stumps showed a clear noise but was shown on the replay as happening before the ball passed the bat resulting in a not out call.

Afterwards, Carey admitted that he had hit the ball and the company that owns Snicko concluded that the operator at the time must have chosen the incorrect stump mic for audio processing. 

Sir Ian Taylor is known for his work with televised sport - and he joined D'Arcy to discuss.

Tom Latham and Devon Conway put on an absolute clinic registering the second highest opening wicket partnership in Black Caps history at 323 - before Latham was dismissed. 

Conway and night watchman Jacob Duffy saw out the day with New Zealand in control at 334-1.
