Silver Ferns star Ameliaranne Ekenasio is going on sabbatical - a proper one, not a rugby-style sabbtical where she plays for another club overseas.

The Warriors started off strong this season with a 42-18 win over the Roosters.

It was also announced earlier today that head of the NZCPA, Heath Mills, is resigning from the role after 25 years.

The festival covers a wide range of different mountain biking disciplines, and it is set to bring 700 competitors and 10,000 supporters.
