On Sports Fix with Elliott Smith for 24 June 2026, today it was officially announced that New Zealand Rugby are not approving a license transfer for Moana Pasifika to participate in Super Rugby Pacific in 2027.

They have said they have explored every possibility for a long term solution but none of the interested parties were able to satisfy the capital and a business plan requirements needed to secure the license.

Lima Sopoaga is a former All Black and has been very vocal on his support for the franchise, he joined Elliott to discuss.
