On Sports Fix with D'Arcy Waldegrave and Jason Pine for 19th December 2025, for the second day in a row a CEO of a major sporting organisation has resigned in New Zealand. Scott Weenink, the CEO of NZ Cricket has resigned following a tumultuous time around the discussion of the future of domestic T20 cricket in New Zealand.
Former Black Cap Richard Petrie was one of the cosignatories on an open letter to NZ Cricket that voiced concerns around the proposed NZ20 competition and he joined D'Arcy to discuss what this could mean for the future of T20 cricket in New Zealand.
Piney shares his thoughts on Devon Conway joining the ellusive club of Black Caps who have scored 2 or more double hundreds in test matches.
And D'Arcy and Piney discuss Scott Weenink's resignation, meaning we now have vacant CEO positions at all three of our major sporting organisations and they share their sporting highlight of the year.
