"You know them as politicians but Democratic Alliance leaders Makashule Gana and Solly Malatsi, both enthusiastic runners produced the idea of Home Run, a 500km road running distance initiative from Soweto, Gauteng to Tzaneen, Limpopo. This was to raise funds for school uniforms, school shoes and sanitary pads for needy learners in Limpopo. According to them, they have raised over R350 000."
