"In our Flashback Fridays feature, we celebrated the legend and former netball star in the apartheid era Hazel Gumede. She looked back at how she denied opportunities in that era because of the colour of her skin, including being left behind some trips when Southern Transvaal went out to play back then. Gumede, also a former assistant coach at the Proteas national team also discusses the current state of netball in the country and what she perceives as the slow pace of transformation."
