A special Fresh Air featuring songs from some kids from all over the outer east that have been through a really special program that Rotary Boronia began facilitating a few years ago.  Knox Rocks is a Rotary driven, youth focused  program that gives kids in our local community to learn about song writing.   Mark and Katie tell use all about their experiences and we play some music from the program. A small content note, parts of the show includes discussion of suicide and eating disorders, which some listeners may find distressing. Robert Arthur makes a one-hour appearance to celebrate 3MDR’s Radiothon and 40th year, starting off with a rarity from John Lennon - Life Begins at 40 Co-presenter of The Feast (and 3MDR President) Ben Langdon sings Mama, recorded for The Dotted Line in 2019 Featured as a  music bed throughout the show is Scans, from the new Keep Moving album by Xani Kolac, another co-presenter of The Feast, Tuesdays at 3pm. Come Alive from the new album Abreast by The Maes. Another Aussie duo, Charlie Needs Braces, present This Land, from their new album Nyaa Wa Melbourne Ska Orchestra also have a new album The Ballad of Monte Loco.  Two tracks from it: Spring In My Step and Bom Bom Bom Back to our theme Life Begins at 40 from Dave & The Dynamos, recorded 40 years ago Peace and Understanding Is Hard To Find, the Junior Walker & The All Stars tune, from Renée Geyer Live At The Basement in 1986. 8 Ball Aitken builds on this with Peace Love & Understanding, from his 2021 album Ice Cream Man, a song with a message from a dozen world leaders.
