Curt and Effie open this week's Inside the Lines with a look around Ohio high school football as the regular season heads into Week 10.

Then, Shelby senior quarterback Michael Shepherd joins the show to talk about stepping into some big shoes after Ohio Mr. Football runner-up Brayden DeVito graduated. Shepherd discusses the challenges of taking over the Whippets' offense, his chemistry with standout receiver Brady Bowman and what he learned from Shelby's run to the state championship game last season.

Shepherd also takes us inside his recruitment and verbal commitment to Miami University, where he'll make the transition from quarterback to tight end at the next level. With the playoffs approaching, he talks about Shelby's expectations and what it will take to make another deep postseason run.
