Sounds of Africa is about the life and times of Blessed Mwale a Zimbabwean musician by birth and a South African by choice. The twist and turns of his life made him to resort to coming to South Africa for greener pastures. His album Highway, is a success beyond his expectation for it has sold more than 30,000 copies thus far. His music career started in Zimbabwe in 1998 where he recorded his first album. He first worked in Soweto for a spaza shop earning R300.00 a month and today he is a Master chef and also a manager of different outlets, one of them, the canteen here at SABC Radio Park and the TV side.

Today, we feature Ntsika of The Soil who came into inception in 2003 when all the members met in school during jam sessions. Back then ,the group was known as Particles of the soil and consisted of more than 25 members. As years passed, some members departed due to other engagements. In 2010, the group was down to four members. In 2012, The Soil released their self-titled debut LP this achieved platinum status selling over 50,000 copies. The Soil is a South African acapella 3 member group is a blend of contemporary township style and an electric mix of urban contemporary which fuses beat box and soul.

Today, we feature Turbonix Two way who was born in Krugersdorp on the West Rand of South Africa. His passion for music began at the age of 12. He asked a friend of his while on the playground at school, what is this House Music that everyone is talking about to which the friend replied, it is that type of music which does not have does not have any type of vocals or singing on it? This was because at that time in South Africa House music that was popular was played alongside the indigenous Kwaito music and was easily was easily distinguishable lyrics. After hearing this sound of music that mostly does not have singing on it, he listened to the late DJ Khabzela, DJ Fresh and many others. Let us now listen to our take off song
