Melody Kin's music is a soft hand to hold in the world of neo-soul - effortlessly blending warmth, honesty and groove. Her songs move through joy and heartbreak with smooth rhythms and an open heart. 
As an active and constant force in our local scene, Melody's path through the neo-soul genre is in close relationship with her phenomenal archive of live performance experience, guiding and inspiring her to create this new project.

Episode 11 incoming!! In the show this week we welcome a truly multidisciplinary artist, Eritrean-Australian singer-songwriter, theatre performer and doctor from Nipaluna/Hobart... the wonderful Shewita!! @iamshewita

For fans of Alicia Keys, Destiny's Child and Kelela, Shewita combines elements of all of these artists and more, marrying early-2000s R&B-pop nostalgia with modern alternative R&B influences. Informed by the music of her childhood and musical theatre, Shewita creates considered lyricism grounded in the storytelling of the stage, and driven by infectious R&B melodies.

'CINS', the second single off of Shewita's debut EP(!!) came out last week and is an atmospheric and anthemic exploration of the doubt and friction that can accumulate in close relationships. Reena and Hannah sat down with Shewita to hear all about the process of creating and releasing 'CINS' and 'Too Soon', and the project to come!

Just two days ago, Steppers released their debut 6-track album of jazzified, funkified goodness and we are so exciting to speak to two of the band members, lead vocalist and drummer Reg Auldist-King and guitarist Louis Allan to break down this fabulous project. 

For fans of Hiatus Kaiyote, Tom Misch, and Yussef Dayes you are in for a treat!! Spinning songs from the album, chatting all about the creation process, live performance and the making of ‘Steppers’ the album, we hope you’re just as keen for this one as we are!
