Emeree Interview!

Introducing our first guest of two(!!) guests on the show tomorrow night, we welcome the phenomenal Naarm-based artist and soulful storyteller… Xanthe @xantheemusic ✨✨ The Soul Food team is so excited to have Xanthe on the show, celebrating both her debut single ‘See U at Home’ and her latest release ‘Lift Me Up’ that comes out ...TOMORROW!!! Bringing a warmth and Motown-esque instrumental presence, Xanthe’s work draws inspiration from the likes of Adele, Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu. Vocally, Xanthe offers a dynamic performance informed by years of songwriting, her experience reaching the Semi-Finals of The Voice (2022) and a blend of jazz, soul and pop music. We can’t wait to sit down with Xanthe live on the show, celebrate her latest track, and hear all about the creation process. You can tune in to hear it too! …On 90.7FM or on the syn.org.au website.

And holy moly as our second guest on the show tomorrow night… we welcome back for the 2nd time, the incredible musical project of Australian artist, producer, vocal powerhouse and multi-instrumentalist Gabrielle Emery… it's the fabulous Emeree!! @itsemeree Currently over in the UK making musical waves producing her own original music and for other musicians, Emeree has had a busy year - so we hadddd to catch up and hear the latest! Following a viral breakthrough with her debut single “Leave You Like a Man,” and two stand out EPs across 2024 and 2025, Emeree returns with her latest summery single ‘runninglikewater’ released earlier this October. Harriet and I got to sit down with Emeree last week and hear all about the creation process of this new track, as well as her silky smooth March release ‘Prominence’. We also got an insight into the phenomenal visual world building that has gone into the accompanying music videos, and the prep for her upcoming London headline show and future music! With a sound akin to Raye and Cleo Sol, don’t miss our conversation this soul queen and perhaps your next favourite artist!
