How does seeing all of creation through the lens of divine gift fundamentally transform the way we manage our time, talent, and treasure? On The Son Rise Morning Show, host Anna Mitchell welcomes back Matt Reinkemeyer, President and CEO of the Catholic Community Foundation, to explore Pope St. John Paul II’s profound impact on the theology of stewardship.

Reinkemeyer reflects on his collegiate study of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and Gaudium et Spes 24, highlighting the "hermeneutic of the gift"—the core insight that man discovers his true self only through a sincere gift of self. Reinkemeyer contrasts secular models of ownership, duty, and resource management with a Catholic framework rooted in gratitude, reception, and personalist relational care. He offers practical steps for living out this vision daily—from recognizing every individual as a unique, unrepeatable gift to mirroring Trinitarian generosity in our personal and financial stewardship.
