What can we learn from saints whom the secular world might view as failures or nobodies? On The Son Rise Morning Show, host Matt Swaim welcomes back Benedictine monk and author Fr. Augustine Wetta to discuss Sts. Simon and Jude, two Apostles who owned no earthly possessions, left minimal written records, and even share a single feast day on the Church calendar.

Fr. Wetta and Swaim explore how both Apostles lived in the shadow of more famous namesakes—Simon Peter and Judas Iscariot—and had their identities frequently confused in the Gospels. Yet, far from being failures, Simon and Jude were hand-chosen by Christ as original foundations of His Church. Their primary legacy lies not in famous quotes or vast wealth, but in the living communities they founded, the souls they converted, and their identity as beloved sons of God. Stream now to listen!
