Why do so many of Christ’s core teachings feel countercultural, challenging, or downright strange to human ears? On The Son Rise Morning Show, host Matt Swaim welcomes back Cy Kellett, host of Catholic Answers Live and author of A Teacher of Strange Things (Catholic Answers Press). Kellett discusses how Jesus's ministry extends far beyond basic moral niceties into deep sacramental mysteries—from Baptismal regeneration to the Real Presence in the Eucharist (John 6). Drawing comparisons between the crowds who walked away in John 6 and the Rich Young Man who turned away sad, Swaim and Kellett explore St. Peter’s iconic declaration of faith ("Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life"), highlighting how true discipleship embraces divine mystery over human comfort. Stream now!
