December 1989. John McEnroe arrives in Australia as the game’s biggest star and also its biggest problem. The Australian Open, struggling for relevance on the world stage, has bet everything on the Superbrat playing the event. As McEnroe tests the limits of power and patience, the sport itself begins to shift beneath his feet. Rules evolve, tolerance wears thin, and choices made in good faith carry unseen consequences.
