Hello, I'm grace for to night sleep Psalm by pray dot Com. We will be meditating on Psalm eight. As you lay down, relax your shoulders, rest your arms by your side, and take a few deep breaths. Release any tension in your body, close your eyes and wreathe in and out slowly. Clear your mind, and focus your thoughts on God. Remember who he is, our creator that spoke the world into existence, our creator that creates beautiful things out of the dust. Remember who you are to God, his beautiful child, whom he perfectly crafted with his hands, and whom he dearly loves and values. And to night, your Creator wants to simply give you rest from this chaotic world and busy life. Let's take a few deep breaths and slow our minds and hearts down. Breathe in and out slowly until you feel our body relax and your mind and heart settle. Meditate on his faithfulness, on his goodness. Breathe in and out, and prepare to receive God's word. In this world we might feel inadequate or unimportant. We might feel overlooked or misunderstood. But to night, as you lie down, you can rest assured that you are more than enough. You are incredibly valuable to the Almighty God. Psalm Ate from the King James's version says, O, Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name? And all all the earth, who hast set thy glory above the heavens out of the mouth of babes and suckling, hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained, what is man that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands. Thou hast put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen yea, the beasts of the field, the fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth. As you prepare to rest, meditate on God's wonderful works. Reflect on his beautiful creation, the brilliance of the sun, the twinkling stars and the night, and the diverse wild life that fills the sky, sea and land. Imagine standing atop a majestic mountain and looking out at all the wonderful things God created for you to care for, to love, just as He does. Look at the earth and everything in it as a gift from above, given to provide for you. Allow its beauty to fill you with joy and delight, calming your mind and heart. Breathe in and out slowly, close your eyes, and imagine God down on you, loving you and seeing your beauty just as you see his from the mountain top. Know God made you and values you over all creation. You are His masterpiece. He has put his creation underneath your feet, and has put you over the wonderful works of his hands because he loves you and adores you. Breathe in slowly as your chest expands. Imagine being filled with God's love. And when your heart is completely full, breathe out and feel the tension leave your body. Take delight in the favor you have found with the Lord. Rejoice in his excellent name, for he has created you in his image and has crowned you with glory and honor. Feel the warmth of his radiant light shining upon you. Relax your body, Breathe in.
And out.
Think of an area in your life in which you struggle with your self worth. Bring your feelings of inadequacy to God and confess where you feel you are not enough. Then take a deep breath and be still and listen to his voice. Let his tender whisper remind you who you are to him, his beloved child, who is more than enough, who is greatly loved, and who was created to do amazing things through him. Thank God for the unique way he created you. Thank Him for the gifts he has given you in your life, including his creation. Think of someone you know who is struggling with their self worth. Right now. Pray God will show them their worth than him and their value as part of his creation. Close your eyes and lift your requests to God. Pray God will give you the confidence in him, for he has fearfully and wonderfully made you. Pray he will protect you against the lies of the enemy when he says you are not worthy. Pray God will give you child like faith to help you walk closer with him. Pray you will sleep peacefully as a child does next to their mother. Pray you will be a good steward of what God has given you. Pray for Him to show you how to treat his creation in a way that reflects its beauty. Drift off to sleep tonight, knowing you are beautiful and you are loved. Relax your neck and shoulders. Pray then and out slowly. As your body relaxes, Allow God to refresh your soul and help you rest through the night.
