Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Song by pray dot Com. We will be meditating on song forty six. There is a lot going on in our lives and in our world right now, so let's take a few moments to get comfortable. Relax your body, clear your mind, and settle your heart before we begin. Make sure you are in a quiet place right now, free of distractions, to help you receive God's word and hear his voice of truth. Lie down flat on your back or sit straight up in your favorite chair. Relax your neck and shoulders, and rest your hands gently by your side or in your lap. Take a deep breath, allow your chest to fully expand before exhaling. As you exhale, release the stress in your muscles and let go of the anxious thoughts crowding your mind. Make space to meditate on the word of the Lord. Breathe in and out, close your eyes and focus on the Almighty One who is with you tonight, giving you a secure place to rest, a peaceful state of mind, to help you experience a deep sleep that will rejuvenate your body and mind. Take a deep breath. Feel your lungs completely fill with air as the presence of the Lord fills your space. Tonight, be still and take refuge in God, whose strength and power will protect you through the night. Psalm forty six from the King James version says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the the mountains shake with the swelling. Thereof Ceilah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad. The City of God, the holy place of the Tabernacles of the Most High God, is in the midst of her. She shall not be moved. God shall help her. And that right early the heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved. He uttered his voice, the earth melted. The Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come behold the works of the Lord. What desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth. He breaketh the bough and cutteth the spear. In sunder, he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen. I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge Silah. The Bible describes God as our fortress, our refuge, and our strength, our ever present help in trouble. As the river overflows onto the land, it brings every plant, every shrub to life. You are the parched land, and God is the cool river flowing through your veins, bringing you back to life, restoring your body, refreshing your soul, renewing your spirit.
