Exhale slowly and release any stress in your muscles and joints. Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly. Meditate on who God is. Visualize him as the almighty one that sustains you and delivers you. Know he is strong enough to carry your burdens from today. Surrender to Him and find rest for your mind, body, and soul. Take a deep breath. Focus on the promises and faithfulness of God. Reflect on all the times God has protected you and delivered you. Have confidence that He is working on your behalf and protecting you tonight, take a deep breath. As you exhale, release any tension in your body. Breathe in and out slowly. Open your mind and heart to hear his voice. Ask for him to speak to you through his word. Be still and listen for his voice of truth to lead you and guide you to a place where you can rest in him. The Bible tells us we can have confidence in the strength of the Lord. Tonight, meditate on his faithfulness and be confident he is with you as you sleep. Psalm forty four from the King James version says, we have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us what work thou didst in their day, in the times of old. How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand and plantedest them. How thou didst afflict the people and cast them out, For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them, but thy right hand and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance. Because thou hast a favor unto them, Thou art, my King, O God, command deliverances for Jacob. Through thee will. Will we push down our enemies through Thy name we will tread them under that rise up against us, For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. In God, we boast all the day long and praise thy name forever Sillah. But thou hast cast off and put us to shame, and goest not forth with our armies. Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy, and they which hate us spoil for themselves. Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat, and hast scattered us among the heathen. Thou sellest thy people for naught, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price. Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us. Thou makest us byward among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people. My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me for the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth. By reason of the enemy and avenger, all this is come upon us. Yet have we not forgotten thee Neither have we dealt fall else in thy covenant. Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way, though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons and covered us with the shadow of death. If we have forgotten the name of our Lord or stretched out our hands to a strange God, shall not God search this out, for he knoweth the secrets of the heart. Yea, for thy sake we are killed all the day long. We are counted as sheep for the slaughter awake. Why sleepst thou, o Lord, Arise, cast us not off forever? Wherefore hidest thou thy face? And forgettest our affliction and our oppression, For our soul is bowed down to the dust, our belly cleaveth unto the earth. Arise for our help and redeem us for thy Mercy's sake. This psalm begins with the story of what God did for his people as he led them into the promised Land. His mighty hand had driven out the wicked nations, giving his people a place to call their home and rest safely in their land. These same hands that destroyed one nation and created another are the same hands that will deliver you from those who attack you and from the fears and worries that attack your mind. Surrender to Him, and in his arms you can rest securely through the night. Breathe in and out slowly. Think about the Lord as your king. Allow his sovereignty to bring you hope and comfort. Close your eyes and imagine God leaning the way through your trials and tribulations. Imagine his hand striking anything that stands against you. Open your eyes and know, even if God doesn't deliver you from your troubles to day, you can find rest in the hope that He will deliver you when the time is right. He may let you stumble, but He will never let you fall. Take a deep breath inhil and watch your chest rise. Know the Lord will rise with you in the right moment. Exhale slowly and watch your chest fall, knowing your trials and tribulations are temporary and eventually your enemies and fears will fall. Breathe in and out. Release any stress to God. Relax your body. Think of a time where you put your hope in something other than God. Confess any idols you are struggling to let go. Ask for his forgiveness. Ask for him to help you. Put your hope in him above all else. Breathe in and out slowly, allow His love and light to shine upon you and chase away the darkness of the shame you are experiencing. To night, Be confident in the Lord and know you are forgiven inhil and exhale slowly. Rejoice in His name. Thank Him for the times he has rescued you and helped you. Thank Him in advance for the future troubles He will deliver you from. Think of some one who needs God to intervene on their behalf. Pray for their deliverance. Pray they will put their trust in Him to night so that they can find rest. Cast your worries and anxieties on the Lord. Know he cares for you, and you know he will help you when the time is right. Put your confidence in the Lord tonight. Pray over any troubles in your life. Pray God will deliver you and alleviate your stress and anxiety. Pray he will give you rest. Pray over your loved ones who need protection. Pray God will sustain them and uphold them with His right hand. Throughout the night, Pray over any darkness in your life. Pray God will rescue you from those who intend to harm you. Pray for His protection as you sleep. Take a deep breath inhale and exhale. Slowly release any stress lingering from today. As your body relaxes, allow God to refresh your soul and bring you peace to help you rest through the night.
