Hello, I'm Grace for tonight's Sleepsalm by pray dot com. We will be meditating on Psalm forty three. As you prepare to meditate on God Word, get comfortable to help your mind and body relax. You can lie down flat on your back stretched out with your arms by your sides, or you can sit up in a comfortable chair with your back straight, your hands resting gently on your thighs, your feet lying flat on the floor. Focus on your breathing. To slow down your heart rate. Breathe in and out slowly as you inhale, allow your chest and lungs to fully expand hold that breath for a few seconds. Then exhale slowly and release any tension in your body. Relax your neck and shoulders. Feel your fingers soften and your muscles loosen up. As you relax your body and control your breathing, Concentrate on clearing your mind and focusing your thoughts on God and his word. Meditate on his faithfulness, on his strength. Take a deep breath and think about God as your savior. Remember who you are to him, a child of God that is deeply valued and loved. Open your mind and heart to hear God's voice as you listen to his word. Allow his word to give you hope and comfort. As you prepare to rest, let His truth be your guide down a safe, secure path where you can experience deep, RESTful sleep. The Bible tells us God's light and truth will guide us during difficult times in the darkness and uncertainty of night. Let's ask God to guide us to a place where we can dwell safely in him. Psalm forty three from the King James version says, judge me, o God, and plead my cause against an unholy nation. Judge me, o God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. For thou art the God of my strength. Why dost thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy. O send out thy light and thy truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me unto thy holy hill and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy. Yea upon the harp, will I praise thee O God, my God. Why art thou cast down? O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope in God? For I shall yet praise Him who is the health of my countenance and my God. The Bible describes God as the light of the world. In the darkness of the night, he will faithfully guide you with his light to a safe, secure place where your mind, body, and soul can rest. Take a deep breath and take refuge in the Lord tonight.
