Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleepsong by pray dot Com. We will be meditating on Psalm thirty nine. Clear your mind and prepare to meditate on God's word. Focus on controlling your breathing. To relax your body. Breathe in and out slowly. Watch your chest expand and contract with each new inhale and exhale as the oxygen flows through your body. Feel the lightness in your fingers and toes and the softness of your muscles and joints. Breathe in and out. Reflect on God's goodness and mercy. Think about God's delight and love for you know He came to bring you life filled with joy, hope, and peace. He wants to carry your burdens and give you rest to night. Breathe in His mercy and breathe out your worries and doubts with each new breath. Feel your mind, body and heart open up. Ask God to speak life into your soul to night, ask for his wisdom and grace. As you listen to his word, be still and hear his tender whispers of love to night. The Bible reminds us life is short on earth, so let's spend tonight meditating on his word to refocus our minds and hearts on him, allowing us to find rest to night and inspiration for tomorrow. Psalm thirty nine from the King James's version says, I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue. I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. I was dumb with silence. I held my peace even from good, and my sorrow was stirred. My heart was hot within me while I was musing the fire burned. Then spake I with my tongue. Lord, make me to know mine end and measure of my days. What it is that I may know how frail I am. Behold, Thou hast made my days as in hand breath, and mine age is as nothing before thee Verily, every man at his best state is altogether vanity Selah. Surely every man walketh in a vain shoe surely they are disquieted in vain. He heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. And now, Lord, what wait I for my hope is in THEE. Deliver me from all my transgressions. Make me not the reproach of the foolish. I was dumb. I opened not my mouth because thou didst it remove thy stroke away from me. I am consumed by the blow of thine hand. When Thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, Thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth. Surely every man is vanity. Sillah, hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry. Hold not thy peace at my tears, For I am a stronger with THEE, and a sojurer as all my fathers were. O spare me that I may recover strength before I go hence and be no more. Life in this world is fleeting. We don't know when we will draw our last breath, but God does, and he has our life in his hands. God's word tells us to find our security in Him, because everything and every one in this world are temporary. He is our only constant and in Him and find rest. Breathe in and out slowly. Meditate on God's eternal existence, on his sovereignty. Put your hope in Him because his love for you will never perish. His mercy will be new for you every morning. Fall asleep tonight, knowing God will restore and refresh your body, mind, and heart to prepare you to do his good works tomorrow. Close your eyes and inhale and exhale slowly through your nose. As you breathe in, allow God to fill your chest with his joy. Know he wants you to enjoy the moments in this life, however fleeting they may be. Breathe out slowly and relax in His presence. Think of a time when you put your hope in the things of this world, like wealth or professional success. Confess the things in your life you have put above God and your family. Ask for God's forgiveness. Pray he will help you prioritize what's important to Him in your life. Take a deep breath as you inhale, Allow His mercy and love to wash over you. As you exhale. Let go of any shame or guilt you are experiencing. Know He saves you from your transgressions and cleanses you with his righteousness. Thank God for the days he has given you in your life. Thank Him for the family and friends he has blessed you with. Thank Him for the good gifts he has given to you. Think of someone who can't find any joy in their jobs or in their relationships. Pray for God to draw them into His presence where they can experience delight and joy and find satisfaction in Him. As you get ready to sleep, lay your requests before the Lord. Tell him about your troubles and bring your complaints to him. Know he is the only one who can deliver you from your worries and troubles. Only he can give you peace to help you rest and hope to find joy in your tomorrow. Pray God will help you with your struggles with sin. Pray he will deliver you from the evil one so that you may find rest. Pray God will help you find joy in this life and help you enjoy what He has given you. May his blessings bring you comfort tonight. Pray God will guide you you down his path and show you the purpose He has for your life on earth. Pray for rest that rejuvenates your body and renews your mind to prepare you to do his good works tomorrow. Take a deep breath inhale and exhale. Slowly release any tension that is still lingering in your body. Soften your joints and relax your fingers and toes. Surrender your life to the Lord and allow him to give you deep, peaceful rest that will last through the night.
