Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleepsalm by pray dot Com. We will be meditating on Psalm one hundred and forty seven. Lie down flat on your back, with your head elevated and your neck relaxed. Bend your knees, rest your feet flat on the floor. Place one hand gently on your chest and one hand gently on your stomach. Focus on controlling your breathing to open your mind and heart to hear God's word. Breathe in through your nose, Breathe out through your mouth. As you breathe in through your nose, your stomach will expand, causing your hand to rise. Your hand on your chest should remain as still as possible. Exhale through pursed lips and feel your stomach sink inward. Feel your heart rates slow down. Feel your body relax from your head to your toes. As you prepare to meditate on God's word. Lift any anxious thoughts to the Lord. With your next exhale, release any stress and anxiety from today. Focus your thoughts on God, ask him to speak to you through tonight's Psalm Breathe in and out. Although God has all of creation at his hands, his greatest joy comes from his people humbling themselves before him and worshiping Him in truth and love. Tonight, take delight in the Lord, and he will take delight in you. Psalm one hundred forty seven from the King James version says, praise ye the Lord, for it is good to sing praises unto our God, for it is pleasant, and praise is comely. The Lord doth build up Jerusalem. He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. He telleth the number of the stars. He calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power. His understanding is infinite. The Lord lifteth up the meek, he casteth the wicked down to the ground. Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving, Sing praise upon the harp unto our God, who covereth the heavens with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse. He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem. Praise thy God, O Zion. For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates. He hath bless thy children within thee. He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat. He sendeth forth his commandment upon the earth. His word runneth very swiftly. He giveth snow like wool. He scattereth the hoar frost like ashes. He casteth forth his ice like morsels, who can stand before his cold. He sendeth out his word and melteth them. He causeth his wind to blow and the waters flow. He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes, and his judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation, And as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord. Meditate on the goodness of the Lord. Think of how he is faithful to take care of all his creation. He covers the sky with clouds, refreshes the earth with rain, and satisfies all creatures great and small with his provision. In your heart, praise Him for his faithfulness. Praise Him for his provision. Take a deep breath. Humble yourself before the Lord as you exhale, put your hope in his unfailing love. Know he takes delight in your humility and in your love for him. Feel his joy fill your heart and spirit. Feel his strength lift you up in his honor and glory. Take another deep breath. As your chest rises, Feel the Lord's hands uphold you and sustain you through the night. Exhale slowly as your chest falls. Imagine the Lord's hands striking down the darkness that surrounds you. Know in his presence, the darkness cannot overtake you, nothing can rise against you. In his hands, you are safe and secure. Rest in the Lord to night. Praising God during difficult times can be hard. Trusting God when the whole world seems unfair can be difficult. Confess any doubts you have of God's goodness and sovereignty. Confess any anger and bitterness that is in your heart. Ask God to help you worship Him and put your confidence in Him, even when you don't understand his ways. Breathe in his love and mercy. Breathe out your sin and shame. No, Oh, the Lord sustains those who submit to him. Think of a time when God met you in your grief as you were mourning the loss of something or someone important in your life. Reflect on how He comforted you and helped you through this difficult time. Thank Him for the ways he comforted you. Thank him for his healing. Think of a person whose heart is broken tonight. Pray God will comfort them with his presence and bless them with his peace. Pray He will heal their hurting heart and restore their health as they rest. Lift your requests to the Lord. Ask him for his provision and protection. Know the Lord finds joy in blessing his people and satisfying them with his provision. Pray for the leaders of your nation to seek the wisdom of God. God. Pray he will pour out his blessing among your nation, and turn the hearts of the people toward him. Pray for the wisdom and understanding of the Lord. Pray he will reveal his truth to you and teach you his ways. Pray for healing in a specific area of your life. Pray he will bind up your wounds and restore you with his strength. To night, take a deep breath, be filled with the peace of the Lord. Exhale slowly and allow his peace to settle your heart and calm your mind. Breathe in and out slowly. Release any tension that is still lingering from to day. As you relax, allow God's presence to comfort you as you sleep.
