Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleep psalm by pray dot com. We will be meditating on Psalm one hundred and forty two. As you lay down to sleep, focus on relaxing your body and calming your mind. Begin by taking a deep, cleansing breath. Feel the fresh air, rejuvenate your lungs. Exhale slowly, and release any stress in your muscles and any tension in your body. Close your eyes and focus on releasing each anxious thought to help you meditate on God's word. With each inhale, lift a thought that is distracting you from fully focusing on God's presence and word. With each exhale, rease that thought to the Lord and allow his presence to quiet your mind. As your body relaxes and your mind calms, open your heart to hear God's voice. Allow his presence to comfort you with his hope and peace. Allow His word to renew your mind and spirit and refresh your soul. When we feel alone in our pain and suffering, the Bible reminds us we can call out to God in our distress and take refuge in him. Psalm one hundred forty two from the King James version says, I cried unto the Lord with my voice. With my voice unto the Lord, did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him. I shewed before him my trouble, when my spirit was overwhelmed within me. Then thou knewest my path in the way wherein I walked? Have they privily laid o snare for me? I looked on my right hand and beheld, But there was no man that would know me. Refuge failed me, No man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee O Lord, I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry, for I am brought very low. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise Thy name. Thy righteous shall compass about me, for thou shalt deal bountifully with me. Meditating on God's word can help us feel closer to him. His word can lift our spirits and fill our hearts with his peace. When the world is against us, we can rest in the presence of the one who is for us. Take a deep breath, Lift your feet, years and worries to the Lord. Lift your troubles and struggles to him. Exhale slowly, feeling his hands deliver you, lifting the heaviness that weighs down your spirit and heart, Lifting the anxious thoughts that consume your mind. Rest in the strength and peace of the Lord. With a clear mind, focus on God's love and mercy. Focus on his promises to help you and deliver you. Allow his love to free you. Allow his promises to bring you hope. In the darkness of night, take refuge in the Lord. Dwell in the safety of his presence. Think of the times in your life you lost hope in the power and strength of the Lord. Think of the times you did not rely on Him for his help because you had lost trust in him. Confess any sin that is weighing heavily on your heart. Confess any doubts of God's goodness and love. Ask for God's forgiveness. Ask for him to help you. Put your trust in Him always, even when life is hard. Think of a time when God's presence comforted you during a difficult time. Thank Him for always being there for you. Thank Him for his comfort and love. Thank Him for the strength he has given you to carry you through some of your most difficult days and of your darkest nights. Think of a person who needs to experience the hope of the Lord tonight. Pray God will touch their hearts and make his presence known to them. Pray God will comfort them with his promises and sustain them with his strength. Come before them Lord and lift your requests to him. Pour out your complaints and troubles before him. Ask for his help and deliverance. Put your trust in Him and know He is always with you and for you. Pray for the Lord's people who are facing dangers and persecution every day. Pray God will keep them and sustain them and give them rest until He delivers them. Pray for the Lord's help with a specific struggle in your life. Pray God will free you from the things of this world that try to entangle you and hinder your daily walk with Him. Pray for the Lord's presence to comfort you as you lay down to sleep. Pray you will rest in His hope and peace to night. Take a deep breath, be filled with the hope and peace of the Lord. Exhale slowly and allow the power of God to rest upon you. Close your eyes and relax your body and calm your mind. As you drift off to sleep, focus on the goodness of God, knowing he will never leave you, and He will keep you safe and warm as you rest through the night.
