Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleepsalm by pray dot Com. We will be meditating on Psalm one hundred and four. Breathe in and out slowly. Relax your body. Relax your neck and shoulders. Rest your hands gently by your side or on your lap up. Make sure your back is flat and straight. Take a deep breath through your nose. Feel the air push through your lungs and into the depths of your belly. Hold your breath for a few seconds. Exhale slowly and feel the air flow throughout your body as your belly receds. Close your eyes and imagine walking through a beautiful, peaceful wooded area. Hear the birds chirping. Hear the leaves rustling as the squirrels scurry across the ground. Feel the gentle breeze blow through the trees, gently swaying the tree branches back and forth. Take a deep, cleansing breath. Feel the crisp, clean air rejuvenate your lungs. Exhale slowly, and allow the air to restore your body as it flows through every bone, muscle, and joint. Marvel at the beauty of God's creation. Know the hands that created the world and all its creatures are the same hands that will sustain you and protect you every day and night. Breathe in the life God, breathe into us. Breathe out your fears and worries. Allow the presence of your Creator to calm your mind and gladden your heart. To night, as we prepare to listen to God's word, let's ask him to fill our minds and hearts with his praise and joy. May our meditation be pleasing to him. Psalm one hundred and four from the King James version says, bless the Lord, O my soul, O Lord, my God, thou art very great. Thou art clothed with honor and majesty, who coverest thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain, who layeth the beams of his chambers and the waters, who maketh the clouds his chariot, who walketh upon the wings of the wind, who maketh his angel spirits his ministers, a flaming fire, who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed forever. Thou coveredest it with the deep, as with a garment. The waters stood above the mountains. At thy rebuke, they fled. At the voice of thy thunder, they hastened away. They go up by the mountains, They go down by the valleys, unto the place which thou hast founded for them. Thou hast set abound, that they may not pass over, that they turn not again to cover the earth. He sendeth the springs into the valleys which run among the hills. They give drink to every beast of the field. The wild asses quench their thirst. By them. Shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. He watereth the hills from his chambers. The earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and irv for the service of man, that he may bring forth food out of the earth, and wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengtheneth the man's heart. The trees of the Lord are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted where the birds make their nests. As for the stork, the fir trees are her house. The high hills are a refuge for wild goats, and the rocks for the conies. He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knoweth his going down. Thou makest darkness, and it is night wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep. Forth, the young lions roar after their prey and seek their meat from God. The sun ariseth. They gather themselves together and lay them down in their dens. Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labor, until the evening. O Lord, how manifold are thy works in wisdom hast thou made them all. The earth is full of thy riches. So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping, innumerable, both small and great beasts. There go the ships. There is the Leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein thee. Wait all upon thee, that thou mayest give them their meat in due season, that thou givest them. They gather. Thou openest thine hand. They are filled with good. Thou hidest thy face. They are troubled. Thou takest away their breath. They die and return to their dust. Thou sendest forth thy spirit. They are created, and thou renewest the face of the earth. The glory of the Lord shall endure forever. The Lord shall rejoice in his works. He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth. He toucheth the hills, and they smoke. I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God. While I have my being. My meditation of Him shall be sweet. I will be glad in the Lord. Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless Thou the Lord, O my soul. Bless ye the Lord. The Bible reminds us God is not just the creator of the world, but he is the provider and sustain her of all creation. We can rely on Him to provide everything we need for this life and for eternity. Put your trust in Him and rest in his provision and protection. Tonight, breathe in the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord. Breathe out any stress and tension in your muscles and joints. Feel his goodness, restore your body and renew your mind and spirit. Feel his faithfulness, Warm your heart, and satisfy your soul. In his goodness, he will pour out his blessings and favor upon you as his beloved creation. In his faithful he will care for you and sustain your heart with His bread. With your next breath, be filled with the truth of the Lord as you exhale, Allow his word to quench your thirst and satiate your appetite. Like the lions that seek God for their food, seek God for your daily bread. No satisfaction does not come from bread alone, but from the word of God. Lift your spirit to rejoice in His provision, To rejoice in His presence. Think of a time when you doubt it God's provision, or when His provision was not enough for you. Confess any fears and doubts you may have. Confess any resentment or envy you have in your heart toward God or towards others. Ask for his forgiveness and for his help in trusting Him enough to give you what you need. Pray his desires for your life will become your desires. Breathe in his love and mercy. Breathe out your guilt and shame. Know the Lord sustains all creatures great and small on earth, so he will sustain you too. Take a deep breath. Release any tension in your body and any anxious thoughts in your mind. Rejoice in the name of the Lord. Think of a time when He provided what you needed at the right time. Thank Him for his provision in your life. Thank him for his protection over you as you sleep. Think of a person who needs God's provision tonight. Pray God will give them what they need to quench their thirst and satisfy their soul. Pray they will put their trust in Him tonight. As your creator, God already knows what you need. So approach God's throne with confidence tonight and lay your requests before him. Ask Him for the things you need and for the desires in your heart. Know he will provide for you at the proper time. Pray for God's provision in a specific area of your life. Pray he will help you find satisfaction in his presence and in his word. Pray for God's protection tonight as you sleep, pray he will sustain you through the night. Pray for God's presence to fill your space with his love and joy. Pray he will fill your heart with his praise and peace, so that you may find rest that will refresh your mind, body, and soul. Take a deep, cleansing breath, be filled with the joy and praise of the Lord. Exhale slowly and allow his goodness and faithfulness to soothe your soul and calm your mind. Relax your body, close your eyes and meditate on the beauty and wonders of God's creation. Allow His light to shine upon you, keeping you warm and safe throughout the night.
