Following some personal health problems, which conventional medicine failed to solve, she sought some medical advice from a practitioner who used a root-cause approach, similar to functional medicine. The resolution of her health issues led her to seek training in this approach. Since then she has completed training with both the Institute of Functional Medicine and the British Society of Ecological Medicine.
