Are New Testament Believers under any Law at all? If so, what is this Law called?

View descriptionShare

Jesus came to fulfill the Law (Torah) and the prophets, not to do away with them.          (Matthew 5:17)

Romans chapter 8:1-2 describes the name of the law under which we as believers are subject.

It is called: The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.

As such, does this New Testament Law require more of us as believers or less of us in our relational development with the Godhead?

Read all of chapter 8 and chapter 12 of Romans before you answer.

What do most Gentile churches teach on this question?

What has been the result of the type of Christian witness given off to the world based on the modern church's teaching that we are not under any Law except for the Law of "love"?

Is God's grace being taught in our contemporary churches as an ongoing amnesty for our planned sinful behaviors or are we teaching that grace teaches us to live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age per Titus 2:12?

These are questions, serious all. Very serious. Eternity is a long time to be wrong about something

It is time for a "Back to the Bible" Reformation in the Evangelical Christian Church. Time is short!
