You’ll have the time of your life as Dirty Dancing: The Musical storms into Chicago this fall!  Andrea talks one of the stars of the show, Lily Kren who plays Lisa Houseman. Next, the historic Skokie Theatre has reopened as The Skokie, creating a new home for arts, entertainment, and community.  Andrea talks to one of the co-owners Jose “Joe” Cantillo about one of the North Shore’s most beloved cultural landmarks as it enters a new chapter.  The Skokie is going to feature movies, comedy shows, “a swanky bar”, a tap wall and an entire restoration of its lobby, while drawing inspiration from classic Hollywood theaters and intimate speakeasy-style venues. Then, you know the painting, now “Sunday In the Park with George” is hitting the stage!  Kokandy Productions once again celebrates the great Stephen Sondheim with a revival of his stunning masterpiece Sunday in the Park with George, playing through November 1st in the intimate Chopin Downstairs Studio, 1543 W. Finally, join the fun this summer as PlayMakers Laboratory celebrates a major milestone at That's Weird, Grandma’s 25th Birthdaymarking a quarter century of the company’s long-running original sketch comedy show.
