The start of street festival season is underway in Chicago and the Do Division festival is back May 29th-31st along Division, between Damen and Leavitt.  Andrea is joined by West Town Chamber Director of Operations Jenny Lauren to preview one of Chicago’s favorite festivals.  We'll chat about the food, the fashion show and of course the music on two stages featuring local favorites from Subterranean and Empty Bottle.  Information: westtownchamber.org

Then it’s the “Rite of Spring”, a one-of-a-kind performance by the Chicago Repertory Ballet May 29-30th!  Andrea talks to Founding Artistic Director Wade Schaff about “Rite of Spring”, set to Igor Stravinsky’s watershed score. Tickets and information: chicagorepertoryballet.com.

Next up, we visit with magician Jeanette Andrews, about her first solo museum exhibition at the Elmhurst Art Museum!  Jeanette talks with Andrea about her roots in Wheaton, as well as her past performances at the Magic Lounge the MCA.  Jeanette’s exhibit “On Wonder, Mind, and Magic”runs through August 24th.  Information: elmhurstartmuseum.org.

Finally, we head to the Cleve Carney Museum of Art's upcoming exhibit that aligns with the FIFA World Cup - a showcase of photographs by legendary soccer photographer, Peter Robinson.  Director & Curator Justin Witte talks about the 53 photographs that will be on display at the CCMA, curated in themes of Robinson's work in sections including "Rituals" and "Beyond the Pitch”.   Information: theccmaorg.
