“Billie Jean” star Chilina Kennedy joins Andrea to talk about playing the role of the iconic tennis legend and activist Billie Jean King! Chilina joins forces with producer Lily Tomlin, writer Lauren Gunderson, and director Marc Bruni to tell the story of this living legend – from her record breaking victories, to her relentless fight for equal pay and equal rights – now at the Shakespeare theatre through August 10th.
Then, internationally renowned visual artist Sarah Kraning joins Andrea to talk about sound-to-color synesthesia and how she sees music as color texture and motion, while painting what she hears! She’s teaming up with Rufus Du Sol for Lollapalooza this weekend and auctioning off two autographed original paintings inspired by their songs, “Inhale” and “Exhale”. All proceeds will benefit re: wild.
We continued the celebration of Lolla with Colorpalooza at the Color Factory. GM Tricia Palmer joins us to talk about some fun ways the Color Factory is getting into the spirit of Lollapalooza with a curated playlist at their signature ball pit, special photo opps, a Golden Note Giveaway and free ice cream!
Finally, a 70’s celebration with two iconic bands – Firefall and Orleans! It’s a double bill at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles on August 3rd and Jock Bartley from Firefall and Lance Hopper from Orleans join Andrea to talk about their 5+ decades of rock and rolling crowds of all ages all over the world in this one-night-only concert extravaganza!
