On this episode of Show & Tell, she’s a pop icon, an influencer, a Grammy and Tony Award winning legend of the 80’s, 90’s, and beyond…Andrea sits down to chat with soon-to-be Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Cyndi Lauper. Andrea with Cyndi about her global farewell tour, which stops in Tinley Park in August, her new musical “Working Girl”, which debuts in California this fall, her activism and being a champion for young women all over the world and her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in October. Then, Andrea chats with “Queen for a Day” writer and star Tyler Anthony Smith. Tyler tells us about his latest work for “Hell in a Handbag” productions on Chicago’s north side and his vision for the show which tells the story of fashion icon Halsten, Broadway legend Liza Minnelli…and the Queen herself makes an appearance. Next, we take you to the “Invictus Theatre” and talk about their brave and bold production of both parts of the Tony-award winning play, “Angels in America”. Director Charles Askeneizer and star Anne Trodden _ talk to Andrea about their poetically charged look at the 80’s in America. Then, we head to the Chicago Botanic Gardenwhere Jodi Zombolo tells me about their new larger than life artistic installation in “Pattern By Nature”, a vivid look at garden beds, dynamic patterns, transformational art and upcycled fashion. Finally, it wouldn’t be summer in Chicago without Venetian Night this weekend! We’ll tell you about the history of Venetian Night with Gabriella Rago with the Italian American Human Relations Foundation and how you can get a bird's eye view from a boat on the River.
