Summer is in full swing in Chicago! This week on Show and Tell, a Shakespearean classic presented in a new way, a gorgeous new exhibit at the Chicago Botanic Garden, the “Always Something There” pop-up restaurant in the northern suburbs, the premiere of a Chicago documentary at the Lighthouse and plays and summer theatre in Chicago.
First up, we talk to Chicago actor Jeremy McCarter about his new audio drama Hamlet! Then, The Chicago Botanic Garden has a new artistic installation in “Pattern By Nature”, a vivid look at garden beds, dynamic patterns, transformational art and upcycled fashion. Next, League of Chicago Theatres Executive Director Marissa Lynn Jones joins Andrea to talk about all of the amazing summer musicals in Chicago and the suburbs! Then, “Always Something There” is currently playing at the Marriott Lincolnshire, so to add food to music, Three Embers is presenting the “Always Something There’ pop up restaurant! Finally, we talk to Kamelya Alexan, the writer and director of the Chicago based documentary “I’m Only Blind” featuring the life of blind marathoner Tim Paul.
