With Robert Cray celebrating his 69th birthday this week, Shauns pulled out all stops to put together a selection of tracks to do the occasion justice.



With tracks taken from Roberts breakout crossover smash hits of the mid 80s Strong Persuader and Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark, all the way through to 2022’s That’s What I Heard.

His guitar style still echoes T-Bone Walker–even at its most emotive, it stays pristine and precise.

Its 30 years since Clarence Gatemouth Brown went into the studio to record this classic 1994 Verve Records release and I’m throwing a blues part to celebrate. Plus new releases from Jon Cleary, Rick Estrin & the Nightcats and Cedric Burnside.
