Dave Mason On His All-Star Quarantine Remake of 'Feelin Alright'

View descriptionShare

"Feelin' Alright" is Dave Mason's most iconic and most heavily covered songs since its release in 1968 as a 22 year old in the band Traffic.

50 different acts have given their take on the song, including Joe Cocker, The Jackson Five, Lou Rawls, John Belushi, Three Dog Night and so many more!

Now the rock & roll hall of famer has assembled an all-star lineup he calls Dave Mason & the Quarantines and they've created what might be the best version of the song to date!

Dave called the big show to talk about the song, which features him singing along with Mick Fleetwood, Sammy Hagar, Michael McDonald, and The Doobie Brothers: John McFee, Tom Johnston, John Cowan, and Pat Simmons. Dave's longtime drummer, Alvino Bennett, also lends a hand as does Pat Simmons Jr., Pat's son.

"I managed to pull some friends together" Dave says, "If it weren't for the quandary we al find ourselves in it probably wouldn't have happened"

Dave says the response from everyone was overwhelming, with the consensus being "what else are we doing, we are locked away!"
