Kennedy, president of the American Strategy Group, chairman of the Committee on the Present Danger: China, and a board member and senior fellow of the Claremont Institute, talks about his recent piece at Claremont’s American Mind, “The Heavy Yoke of 9/11.” Brian discusses the idea that the U.S. has never truly taken on the ideology of Islam, instead making excuses and downplaying its significance. Kennedy argues that this approach has led to the importation of millions of Muslims into the country, many of whom hold radical views, and the rise of Islamist politicians. The discussion also touches on the concept of "Islamophobia" and how it was used to silence critics of Islam, as well as the American people's discomfort with discussing religion. Kennedy suggests that the country's reluctance to scrutinize Islam has led to a lack of understanding and a failure to address the ideology's incompatibility with free society.
