So much happened when Jesus was crucified.  The Gospel of Matthew records that certain phenomena took place ? there was darkness over the land, the veil in the temple was supernaturally torn in half, and then there was an earthquake resulting in graves opening and people coming out of them and going into the city appearing to people.
