Melbourne Fashion Week “M/FW” will be taking over of the city 19-25 October 2026 featuring over 300 designers and retailers across roughly 100 events, including runways, talks, and capsule exhibitions in unique CBD locations.  On the eve of M/FW, our Boomerang 'fashionistas' will discuss everything fashion – from high fashion and Australia’s most famous designers to the present trend of ‘Fast Fashion’.

We hope to discuss previous exhibitions, including the Cartier exhibition held at NGV International as part of Melbourne Winter Masterpieces 2026; exhibitions at the Ian Potter Centre NGV Australia, and the Koorie Heritage Trust where different items relating to art, design and traditions of First Nations collections, and their connection with contemporary fashion.  And discuss the impact AI is having on designers; opening up new possibilities for creativity and design, or does it change the very essence of how new collections are created?
