The boys talk to Christen Jeschke, author of “Cicadas Don't Bug Me” She was fascinated the first time she witnessed a cicada invasion, 38 years ago in Northern Virginia. “just 6 years old at the time, but I can clearly remember feeling like I was living out the biblical plague of the locusts. My sister, on the other hand, was so terrified that she barricaded herself indoors."
