Seattle is home to one of the largest publicly-available movie collections in the world. Scarecrow Video has been renting and selling films in the city for 36 years. 

But now, they’re in trouble. The nonprofit is raising 1.8 million dollars to keep the doors open and ensure the collection’s future.

We take a trip there to speak with Scarecrow executive director Kate Barr.

The Seattle region has achieved epic tier status, with international corporations, independent publishers, major conventions, cafes and pubs all dedicated to tabletop gaming. In this episode, Hobbs and Flatout Games co-founder Molly Johnson flex their high charisma with expertise in persuasion as they explain why Seattle is the gaming hotspot.
