Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp discusses the impact of adding players mid-season, specifically highlighting the addition of Quenton Nelson and how it energizes the team while forcing better communication (0:18). He praises Head Coach Mike Macdonald's direct and honest approach to difficult personnel decisions, noting the importance of truthfulness in leadership (1:59). Kupp emphasizes the significant progress shown after the bye week, with all three phases demonstrating growth and complementary football (3:01). He explains how the offense found success by narrowing their focus, doubling down on what they do well, and allowing players like Sam Darnold to play faster while still threatening down the field (5:40, 7:28). Kupp credits the collective effort of coaches and players working together through improved dialogue to create an efficient offensive system, stressing that mastering the playbook allows everyone to execute at a higher level (6:09).
