Actress Sara Wiseman's made a name for herself in Kingdom of The Planet of the Apes, A Place to Call Home and Mercy Peak - and she's set to take on an iconic theatrical role.

Auckland Theatre Company’s latest production of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth is set to debut this Tuesday at Auckland’s ASB Waterfront Theatre, with Wiseman taking on the show's coveted female role.

"I think there's a Lady Macbeth in everyone...they want something that they don't have and we've all been there, and sometimes they bend their morals to get it. And we've probably all been there in our lives."
