Ruahei Demant has one of the best CVs in sport, not bad for a kid who grew up in the small East Coast settlement of Ōmāio.

2022 was a year for the books for the 27-year-old.

She’s overcome not one, not two but three knee reconstructions to get to where she is. 

And there’s no rest for the wicked; Ruahei is preparing for the start of Super Rugby Aupiki in a couple of weeks. 

She’s took some time out from training to join Jack Tame.
