In this episode of Highlands Heroes, host Patrick Highland covers Medicare options, senior health, and practical financial protection. Drawing from his sports background and personal family experience helping his disabled father and veteran uncle navigate benefits, Patrick explains the differences between Medicare Advantage plans, supplements, HMOs, and PPOs. He highlights how many Advantage plans can include low or zero premiums, Part B rebates that put money back into Social Security checks, plus extras like dental, vision, hearing, gym memberships, and even grocery or over-the-counter allowances for those with special needs.

The show features insights from Dr. Michael Lange and Dr. Susan Somerton on anti-aging and wellness, including the benefits of creatine (especially the new finer-mesh Creactin formula) for muscle, bone density, mood, cognitive function, and recovery—particularly valuable for women and aging adults. Patrick also interviews Darren Grubb of Medicare Advantage Majority about the importance of protecting the program that serves over 34 million seniors nationwide (including more than 3 million in Florida), the value of preventive care, and how listeners can advocate for continued funding.
