Ontario Labour Minister Kevin Flynn joined Employment Lawyer Lior Samfiru on The Employment Hour to talk about Bill 148 (aka Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017) and the changes coming to the Employment Standards Act and workplaces on January 1st, 2018.

A new mother will be able to take a combination of pregnancy and parental leave of up to 78 weeks, up from the current 52 weeks. Will this change make employers less inclined to hire women? How does the Ministry of Labour stop that from happening?
