But somewhere along the way, we become competent at being ourselves. We know what we like, what we don’t like, what we’re good at and how we prefer to do things. And perhaps, without even realising it, we begin closing a few doors.

In this episode of Salt, Sage & Stardust, we explore what happens when we become willing to open some of them again and experiencing something for the ‘first time’.

Not because we need another hobby. Not because we need to challenge ourselves, reinvent ourselves or become better versions of ourselves. Simply because there is something about experiencing a first that gets our attention.

It brings us into our senses. It interrupts the familiar. It invites curiosity. And sometimes, it introduces us to a part of ourselves we haven’t met before.

THE TAROT CARD — Three of Cups

This week, Vicki pulls the Three of Cups.

For Vicki, the card speaks to that first taste of something — the emotional lift of crossing a threshold, discovering what an experience gives us, and having something new from which to continue.

And then another possibility appears. Perhaps doing something for the first time can be even more fun when we do it with people we love.
