The Indigenous Languages Action Forum (ILAF) has welcomed the appointment of Justice Mandisa Maya as South Africa’s first woman Chief Justice. The ILAF community expressed their elation at living in an era where the Chief Justice has actively promoted and utilized indigenous languages within the legal system.
