The Madlanga Commission has heard that Police Minister Senzo Mchunu acted inappropriately when he instructed national commissioner Fannie Masemola to immediately disband the KZN Political Killings Task Team. SAPS’ head of legal services, Major-General Petronella van Rooyen, testified that the minister overstepped his authority, siding with both Masemola and provincial commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
