The Gauteng High Court has found the City of Tshwane in contempt of court for failing to comply with a 2022 court order regarding the maintenance and upgrading of the Tshwane Fresh Produce Market. Judge Mmonoa Teffo ruled that Mayor Nasiphi Moya and City Manager Johan Mettler could face one month in prison, suspended for a year, if the city does not comply with the order within 30 days.
