Parliament has vowed urgent intervention after a protest by film and television workers exposed what industry leaders describe as a near-collapse of South Africa’s screen sector. The Save SA Film Jobs protest outside Parliament in Cape Town forced lawmakers to acknowledge deep administrative failures and commit to emergency talks with government and industry stakeholders.
